Supporting Chiltern Capital with investment into Xburo
Capital Law has recently acted for Chiltern Capital on their investment in Xburo.
Founded in 2018, Xburo is an engineering consultancy that specialises in mechanical, electrical, public health (MEPH) and sustainability engineering for buildings and infrastructure. Xburo is headquartered in Glasgow, with additional UK offices in Edinburgh and London.
Chiltern Capital’s investment will enable Xburo to pursue ambitious growth plans, including geographical expansion from Scotland into the wider UK market, and implement an enhanced service offering.
Capital Law’s Corporate and Private Equity team acted for Chiltern on their investment and acquisition. The legal team was led by Gareth Williams-Davies and included Sara Thomas and Sadie Vidal. Chris Lewis and Emma Harding from our Debt Finance team also advised on the debt element of the transaction.
Capital Law worked closely with Scottish law firm Burness Paull LLP, who advised Chiltern Capital on the Scottish aspects of the deal.
Gareth Williams-Davies, Partner in the Corporate and Private Equity team at Capital Law, said:
“We are delighted to have advised Chiltern on its investment in Xburo. It is always a pleasure to work with the Chiltern team and we very much look forward to seeing Xburo’s continued success and growth over the coming years with Chiltern’s support.”
Andrew Reid, Director at Chiltern Capital, said:
“It was great to work with the Capital team again. Capital’s persistence and user-friendly approach were invaluable.”
