AMPLYFI secures first investment from Cardiff Capital Region’s IIC fund

One of our long-standing clients, AMPLYFI, has successfully secured a significant funding investment from Cardiff Capital Region (CCR).

Founded in 2015, AMPLYFI is an AI-powered market intelligence platform utilised by businesses to make better-informed decisions. The platform provides businesses with unique insights by connecting structured and unstructured data at scale, enabling them to uncover previously hidden links, trends, and opportunities.

The investment is the first from CCR’s £50m Innovation Investment Capital fund. Launching the fund in November 2022, CCR designed the fund to increase the availability of long-term capital in Southeast Wales by encouraging economic growth through investments in innovative and scalable businesses.

The team is delighted to have contributed to the successful investment and see the company go from strength to strength. The Corporate & Private Equity team advising AMPLYFI on the deal included; Gareth Williams-Davies, Catherine Golledge and Sara Thomas.

Catherine Golledge, Senior Associate at Capital Law commented:

“We are delighted to have advised AMPLYFI Ltd on the first investment from the IIC fund. As a long-standing client, we have seen AMPLYFI go from strength to strength and look forward to seeing the company’s growth as a result of this investment.”

Paul Teather, CEO at AMPLYFI commented:

“We are thrilled that IIC is attracted to AMPLYFI. This investment is a crucial milestone for the business as we look to put our technology in the hands of many more users.”
