Advising Averroes backed Journey Hospitality on the acquisition of Premier Software

Journey Hospitality has acquired the assets of Premier Software, the UK’s leading spa, leisure and wellness management software business.

Tom Kelleher, Gareth Williams-Davies, Jordan Thomas, Cerith Bevan and Alex Prothero from Capital Law’s Corporate and Private Equity team, advised Journey Hospitality (led by Journey Hospitality’s CEO Simon Bullingham and COO Mark Reed) on all legal aspects of the acquisition, which was supported by private equity firm Averroes Capital.

The acquisition will build upon an already long-term working relationship between Journey Hospitality and Premier Software. It will also deliver a significant investment to Premier Software’s technology and product development, and strengthen Journey’s portfolio to revolutionise the online guest experience for independent and luxury hotels.

Simon Bullingham, CEO of Journey Hospitality, said:

We are thrilled to welcome Premier into Journey’s organisation. The acquisition will enable us to help hoteliers think more holistically about their business, commercialising spa offerings as they do rooms and restaurants. This is the first deal we have completed with Capital Law, who have been a great support throughout, ensuring a smooth and professional process, and we look forward to working with them again as Journey Hospitality continues to grow.

Gareth Williams-Davies, Partner at Capital Law, said:

We are delighted to have supported Journey Hospitality on what is a really exciting acquisition for all connected with the Journey Group. Simon, Mark and the team were a pleasure to work with, and the transaction will no doubt drive Journey’s continued growth within the hospitality sector. We look forward to working with them again very soon.
