Chiltern Capital invests in Train’d Up Railway Resourcing Limited


We have recently advised Chiltern Capital on its investment in apprenticeship provider, Train’d Up Railway Resourcing Limited.

Based in Stirling, Train’d Up is the UK’s largest provider of rail apprenticeships and a fast-growing provider of engineering apprenticeships, supporting the rail and engineering sectors across the UK. Chiltern is backing Managing Director, Alan Wilson, and the experienced management team to support the next phase of growth, building on the strong platform established by the founders David Gillespie and Paul McGlynn, who are stepping back as part of a planned retirement. Experienced PE and apprenticeship business leader, Ben Pike, will join the Board as Non-Executive Chair.

Chiltern Capital were advised on the acquisition and investment by our Corporate and Private Equity team, led by Gareth Williams-Davies alongside Sarah Hale, Cerith Bevan and India Link-Jones. Our Debt Finance team also played a leading role on the deal assisting with the debt funding element. The Debt Finance team was led by Chris Lewis and supported by Micheal Bolous and Emily Herrod.
