As part of our International networks, we have access to other legal advisers across the world, and more recently we’ve had the opportunity of working with a Consulegis firm based in California, Nossaman LLP, where they assisted us on a transaction involving a US acquirer.
Nossaman is known for its work on public infrastructure and real estate projects but also has a diverse Corporate team, counselling clients throughout their business lifecycle, from formation and growth strategies (including M & A and taxation in complex transactions) to governance, regulation and all stages in between. Last October, as part of our Exchange Programme, one of our Principal Associates in our Corporate & Private Equity team had the opportunity to join the team at Nossaman in Los Angeles for 2 weeks.
The programme aims to strengthen international business and provide colleagues with the opportunity to work in new locations and learn about different jurisdictions. The trip allowed us to strengthen our transatlantic connections and understanding of how Nossaman operate, learning more about their work in various US jurisdictions. It provided an opportunity to share expertise, forge new relationships, and there was even time for a baseball game at Dodger Stadium.
