Clare is a Senior Associate in our Commercial Disputes team, helping with a variety of commercial, business and property disputes – both residential and commercial.
She joined the Commercial Disputes team as a Solicitor after completing her training contract at a Welsh firm. Clare studied Journalism, Cultural and Media Studies at Cardiff University before completing her GDL and LLM LPC at the University of Law in Bristol.
Clare acts for companies, individuals and social housing landlords in a wide variety of property disputes, including complex dilapidations claims, disrepair claims, and breaches of covenant. She has significant experience acting for landlords and tenants, both commercial and residential, in a wide variety of complex property disputes. Clare has a keen interest in the healthcare sector, and regularly advise GP partnerships on premises issues, including disputes regarding payments pursuant to the Premises Costs Directions. She also provides strategic advice in relation to property issues arising out of developments.
Clare also assists with general contractual disputes, with particular expertise in employee and shareholder breaches of restrictive covenants and complex IT disputes arising.
Clare is the Wellbeing Officer and Vice President for the Cardiff and District Law Society, and a Social Mobility Ambassador for the Law Society of England and Wales. Her commitment and enthusiasm to wellbeing within the profession prompted LawCare to ask her to be one of their ‘Champions’.
Clare is the Chair for South Wales Forum for Tomorrow Committee and assists in organising the Committee’s networking events for young professionals in the property and construction industry.
