Public Procurement
Specialist procurement legal advice from experienced procurement lawyers, supporting public bodies and companies.
Public procurement decisions carry significant regulatory, commercial and reputational consequences. Critical judgement at the strategy, documentation and assessment stages determines whether risk is mitigated or exposed, and whether a process can withstand scrutiny or is vulnerable to challenge.
As experienced procurement solicitors, we advise contracting authorities on structuring compliant competitions, managing risk and protecting operational objectives from the outset. We also support contractors and bidders participating in public procurement processes, advising on how to respond to tenders and challenge contracting authorities where procedures are flawed or unlawful.
Our procurement law solicitors provide commercially grounded procurement legal advice within the statutory framework, ensuring processes are transparent, defensible and aligned to delivery outcomes. We guide clients across the full lifecycle of the public procurement process, from initial planning and contract award, to ongoing contract management, while also handling complex procurement disputes and judicial reviews.
We act for public bodies and commercial operators across diverse sectors, managing high value and complex procurement procedures (including IT procurement legal support) as well as targeted challenges. Where a procurement is contested, we act decisively to protect your position and maintain service continuity. Our trusted public procurement lawyers provide clear strategic advice to both buyers and suppliers.
Our specialist legal team brings deep devolution expertise to ensure your procurement processes are fully compliant and strategically aligned with distinct Welsh law. We provide clear, practical guidance on statutory obligations, including the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015 and the Social Partnership and Public Procurement (Wales) Act 2023. By aligning projects with the latest Welsh procurement regulations and guidance, we support organisations in complying with distinct devolved regulatory requirements.
