Capital Law has been involved in negotiations with London-based rugby team, Harlequins, over the release of their Head Coach, Danny Wilson, as he takes up an Assistant Coach role with the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU).
Danny Wilson has strong links with Welsh rugby, having been recently seconded from Harlequins to join Wales on their two-Test tour of Japan this summer, alongside Scrum Coach, Adam Jones, before resuming his Harlequins role. Danny has also previously held coaching roles with the Scarlets, Wales under 20, Newport Gwent Dragons and Cardiff Blues. His return marks a significant moment for rugby in Wales as the men’s team prepares for the 2027 Rugby World Cup under the leadership of newly appointed Head Coach, Steve Tandy, who took over from Matt Sherratt this September.
David Lewis, Partner at Capital Law, who has worked on multiple deals with Danny’s agent, Derwyn Jones, a former Welsh rugby international, helped to ensure Danny’s interests were protected.
David commented on Danny’s return:
Capital Law is proud to have played a small part in the negotiations that have brought Danny Wilson back into rugby in Wales.”
Capital Law extends its best wishes to Danny Wilson and the Welsh rugby team ahead of the Autumn Internationals kicking off this November.
