Bridgend-based Penybont FC has announced the completion of a significant new investment into the club’s operations, with Capital lawyers acting as legal advisers to the investor group, as it gears up for the 2026-27 season. The club competes in the Cymru Premier league and will also participate in the UEFA Conference League, for the third time, this season.
The club has also added two new members to its Board – David Zeeman and Ryan Paisey, who will help the club develop and professionalise its operations. Penybont will now focus on developing its team, academy, facilities, and community programmes in the Bridgend area.
Gareth Williams-Davies and Alex Prothero from Capital’s corporate team advised the investor group throughout the transaction, supporting the successful completion of the investment.
Alex Prothero said:
“It’s been great to advise on the investment in Penybont FC and to play a small part in supporting the club at the start of an exciting new chapter. We look forward to seeing its continued success and wish the team and wider club all the best for the coming season.”
David Zeeman said:
“Capital have been excellent throughout. From the first conversation, Alex and the team understood what we were trying to achieve and got us to completion on a tight timeline without ever losing sight of the commercial detail. Penybont FC is the start of something we’re genuinely excited about, and having the right legal team behind us made a real difference. We look forward to working with Capital again as the club grows.”
