Capital Law advises education tech firm on raising £550k

Cardiff-based education technology company, Simply Do Ideas, has raised £550,000 through angel investors and the Development Bank of Wales.

What we did:

We advised Simply Do Ideas on its £550,000 funding. Founded by Lee Sharma in 2015 to combat the frustrations that start-ups face in taking ideas through to execution, Simply Do Ideas helps individuals and companies to develop ideas. It plans to become the de facto choice for organisations looking for a simpler way to support early-stage innovation.

What happened:

Lee Sharma said:

‘We are now in a world where it’s crucial to have a creative and innovative mindset. Our technology is unlocking the entrepreneurial behaviours of individuals, organisations and communities by digitally bringing people together. So naturally, we wanted to work with an entrepreneurial legal team. Capital Law’s expert advice on raising this funding has been second to none. Laura has always been on hand to help, seamlessly steering us through the process.

Laura Spendiff, who advised Simply Do Ideas on raising the funds, said:

‘Simply Do Ideas is set to grow rapidly. It’s a brilliant product that stimulates and manages innovation and provides a much-needed opportunity to help businesses grow. We’ve enjoyed working together on this exciting development and look forward to seeing Simply Do Ideas continue to grow.’
