The Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016 has now been in place for just over two years. The Act was an overhaul of housing legislation in Wales. There has been extensive changes in terminology, wider repairing obligations and some scenarios being governed by statute for the first time (e.g. university accommodation).
Failure to comply with the Act (and associated legislation) can result in serious consequences – from fines to inability to obtain possession orders. In short, it can be costly to get things wrong.
This webinar provides an overview of the requirements on landlords and best practical tips for navigating the Act.
