David Williams, a private equity specialist, is Chairman of Capital Law’s Board.
He joined the firm in April 2018 to assist in the next planned phase of growth.
David trained at 3i and rose through the ranks to Investment Director during the period when the 3i floated on the London Stock Exchange and became a FTSE-100 company. He was invited to join the main board of Sand Aire, a Family Wealth Management specialist, with the mission to establish from start-up the Private Equity business which he ran as Managing Director for 8 years until its successful and profitable sale to Dunedin Capital Partners. Sand Aire was sold to Cazenove Schroders in 2021.
David was headhunted to become a Senior Partner at Graphite Capital in London. He was persuaded out of his retirement at 50 to become Senior Partner for Dunedin in London.
During his career David has invested in over 50 companies, raised funds, bought and sold many businesses, and invested in professional service firms, including legal services firms.
