What we did:
Since 2006, Wolfestone has grown to be the largest language service provider in Wales, and the acquisition of Robertson Languages means it can now offer 28 years of experience in high-quality language learning and translation services.
This acquisition allows Wolfestone to expand its services, including multilingual voiceovers and subtitling, translation and interpreting services, and now, global language training. HSBC and accountancy firm MHA Broomfield & Alexander supported the acquisition.
What happened:
Anna Bastek, co-founder of Wolfestone and one of five key participants in a women-led acquisition, said: “This acquisition is a very exciting opportunity for Wolfestone. Not only are we acquiring an established, reputable language service provider, but it also adds an additional service to our offering.
“As a language learner, I’m extremely excited to explore new and innovative methods of language learning. The way we learnt languages 20 years ago is completely different to how we learn them today. The process has become much quicker, cheaper and more accessible.
We want to ensure our clients always benefit from the very latest advancements in language learning science and technology.”
Marlies Hoecherl, a partner in our Corporate team, who advised on the deal said: “We greatly enjoyed working with Wolfestone. It was a great strategic decision for both companies as both businesses will benefit from the deal.”
