Capital advises the sellers of Clarks UK on its acquisition by Hain Celestial Group
We advised Bob Clark and Byron Light on the sale of the entire issued share capital of Clarks UK Limited to a subsidiary of the Hain Celestial Group, Inc.
What we did:
Newport-based Clarks is the leading maple syrup brand in the UK. They also produce natural sweeteners, honey, carob, date and agave syrups, which are sold in leading supermarkets across the UK, as well as being used by food service and industrial customers. Clarks generated approximately £7 million in net sales in the 2016 calendar year.
The Hain Celestial Group, Inc., who own brands such as Sun-Pat, Tilda, Gale’s and Hartley’s, are a leading natural and organic products company with operations in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
We worked with Bob Clark and Byron Light – the sellers – to guide them through the process of selling the business, with Hain Celestial Group acquiring it.
