Rachel is a Solicitor in our Commercial Disputes team.

Rachel assists with a variety of commercial disputes including contractual disputes, breach of data protection and high value fraud claims.

Rachel joined Capital in January 2021 as a trainee. During her training contract, she gained experience in our Employment & Immigration, Corporate and Private Equity and Commercial Disputes team. She also led Capital Law’s pro bono initiative which provides guidance and support to students who volunteer at the University of South Wales (USW) Legal Advice Clinic.

Prior to joining Capital, Rachel gained litigation experience working as a Child Safeguarding Paralegal at Neath Port Talbot Local Authority. Prior to completing her LPC at Swansea University, Rachel worked as a Paralegal in Shoosmiths Medical Negligence Department. In this role, she assisted on multi-million pound complex cases in the Royal Courts of Justice.

  • Acting for a corporate trustee in proceedings to obtain court approval for the distribution of trust assets to 4,000 beneficiaries.
  • Advising and representing a primary school in relation to a breach of contract dispute with a supplier.
  • Acting for a UK company facing a data breach claim and successfully negotiating settlement.
  • Assisting members and former members of a prominent UK investment fund management LLP in a multi-million pound fraud claim against its managing partner.
