Andrew is a Principal Associate in our Commercial Disputes team.

An experienced disputes lawyer, he helps clients to navigate and resolve disputes effectively and efficiently.  He has a successful track record representing a broad range of clients (from private and public companies and shareholders and directors to sovereign states and state-owned enterprises) across a number of sectors.

Andrew has considerable experience acting in the arena of arbitration (under a variety of rules) and in relation to complex, high-value and cross-border disputes.

Andrew joins us from Latham & Watkins where he acted for clients on a number issues including:

  • Drafted a new arbitration law for a sovereign state.
  • Acted for an international conglomerate in relation to claims and counter-claims valued in excess of USD 3.8 billion arising out of a failed joint-venture project.
  • Acted for an online games company in relation to claims valued in excess of USD 2 billion for alleged breaches of software license agreements and conspiracy.
  • Acted for a listed biopharma company in relation to a claim concerning alleged breaches of contract and economic torts regarding cutting-edge medical treatments.
  • Acted for a private-equity investor in relation to a claim arising out of the exercise of a put option.
  • Acted for a major OEM manufacturer in relation to a claim for breach of contract concerning the exploitation of intellectual property.
  • Acted for a property investment company regarding a dispute related to the construction and management of an international five-star hotel.
  • Acted for a majority shareholder in relation to a claim arising out of a solar infrastructure project.
