We are a firm of international lawyers and consultants, based in Cardiff, with offices in London and Paris. We recruit excellent lawyers who provide practical legal advice.

Our clients largely comprise of corporate clients, but we also advise on financial institutions and other lenders such as private equity funds and investors. We advise on a diverse range of debt financing work and in doing so we work closely with other specialist lawyers within Capital.

Working within the Debt Finance team

Working with us, you can expect a challenging but rewarding career. You will work on a variety of debt finance matters, including general corporate debt finance work, leveraged and acquisition finance, real estate and development finance and working on international debt finance transactions, with support along the way.

We advise on deals ranging in size from small business loans to complex credit facilities in excess of £100 million.

 

Responsibilities

  • assisting and providing a range of legal support and administration to lawyers and other legal professionals
  • managing client files in compliance with the Firm’s rules as specified in the Quality and Practice Manuals (such as Money Laundering, File opening and Rule 2 letters)
  • drafting and negotiating legal documentation including loan and security documents
  • analysing and interpreting legal documentation in order to provide advice to clients
  • managing the day to day running of a number of matters including coordinating documentation, liaising with external companies and clients, updating the internal cross-department lawyers
  • attending meetings and telephone conferences and preparing follow-up action points and attendance notes
  • performing legal research and writing topical articles and blogs for marketing purposes
  • updating matter files
  • assisting with preparing precedent documents

 

You’ll need:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, prioritise workload and work to deadlines
  • Good initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Research and drafting skills
  • Strong IT skills
  • Demonstrates the Company values.
  • Able to work well as part of a team and on their own and demonstrates initiative
