We believe in preventing problems before they start.
That’s why we invest a significant amount of time in training our clients on the law and best practice.
Courses can, depending on the topic and your needs, be run by our employment lawyers, our HR consultants, or a combination of both.
In house training
We offer a range of seminars which can be run either at your offices or at ours. Some courses (our “Capital Courses”) are already written; others (our “Bespoke Courses”) are prepared specifically for you.
Capital Courses
Our current most popular sessions are:
Mock Employment Tribunal (full or half day)*
An interactive tribunal hearing based on a real case, with breakout sessions to explain the law, the process and what to expect when appearing at tribunal. This session is delivered by Employment Tribunal Chairman, Chris Nott.
We currently offer cases dealing with:
- misconduct-based unfair dismissal
- bullying/harassment and constructive dismissal.
Consequences (full or half day)*
Participative training in handling the disciplinary process from the initial investigation through to appeal.
Delegates handle the consequences of the behaviour of an errant employee, as the course of events are revealed during the day.
*These courses are aimed at anyone involved in managing people.
Ending the employment relationship (half day)
Training on how to manage ending the employment relationship, concentrating on tactical issues and the plethora of recent cases in this area.
This training is for managers involved in managing dismissals.
