I'm really pleased to be chairman of the Welsh Government's sector panel for Financial and Professional Services. With a strong team on the panel (click here for details), and taking on board the views and feedback of the business community, with whom we intend to engage openly, I'm sure we will achieve our objectives to help the government in its efforts to build on this important industry sector in Wales.
Our view is that the private sector has a lot to offer, in terms of skills and insight, and to contribute to government policy making, so we believe that this initiative is a really positive development for the Welsh economy.
Along with the other five sector panels, our aim is to bring our collective knowledge and experience to bear with the ultimate goal being a stronger economy, increased inward investment and job creation, along with enhanced job security for existing workers in this sector.
