Rachel qualified as a solicitor in 1999, and has spent her career working as an employment lawyer in London, until joining Capital Law in 2012.
Rachel graduated in law from the University of Cambridge, and achieved a distinction in her LPC at the College of Law.
Rachel has experience of advising both employers and employees on a full range of contentious and non-contentious employment issues, including:
- employment advice on TUPE transactions including drafting relevant clauses in transfer agreements and co-ordinating cross-border transactions
- executive severances, including those involving founder members of start-up companies
- high value and high complexity litigation of employment disputes, including in the High Court and the EAT, as well as discrimination claims in the Tribunal
- actions to protect confidential information and prevent post-termination competition, negotiating undertakings as well as time-sensitive injunction actions in the High Court
- assisting with Diversity Policies and advising on public authority Equality Duties.
She regularly provides training and seminars to clients, tailored to their needs, and contributed to the pensions chapter of the Russell-Cooke Voluntary Sector Legal Handbook.
