Capital Law has recruited a manager to help develop and streamline its marketing and communications.
Amanda Salamon, 38, joins from Alder King where she worked as Marketing Manager. Before that, she held similar roles at Deloitte and Beachcroft LLP and as Conference Manager at UCAS.
A member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and with 15 years’ experience, Salamon will be responsible for the firm’s marketing strategy, internal and external communications, business development and brand. She will work with a number of the firm’s retained consultants to target key sectors and publicise the firm’s national and international expertise.
Speaking of her appointment Salamon said
“Capital Law is an exciting place to be. There are superb lawyers and consultants backed up by a strong management team with big ideas and the skills and enthusiasm to see them through.
“Over the last few years the firm has made several shrewd investments. It opened a London office to better serve clients based there and overseas and in September last year expanded its range of services by buying the management consultancy Holistic Services Limited. These two moves demonstrated that Capital Law is a law firm with a real difference – a competitive edge - and one which I am very pleased to now be a part of.”
Salamon will work with each of the Capital Law teams to design new internal communication systems and strategic plans which will allow the firm to capitalise on opportunities within key markets. Reporting directly to the board and advising on strategy, she will develop the marketing function to support the firm’s long term aspirations.
“Capital Law is looking to build on its reputation for servicing UK-wide and international clients from its Cardiff and London offices. With specific emphasis on the quality of the legal and business support we provide, our fundamental message is: City experience at regional rates. This is a great attribute to be charged with promoting, particularly in the current financial climate” she said.
Salamon joins Capital Law at a time when many other businesses are being forced to cut back on their costs and looking to reduce their marketing budgets in particular.
Salamon said
“Maintaining and developing market presence is critical in turbulent times like these and it is testament to Capital Law’s foresight and determination to progress that it recognises this.
“We are fortunate that, despite the recession, demand for our services has increased and recruitment has continued. This is something I am looking to perpetuate through better communications, business development and new sector opportunities.
“We have a number of projects in the pipeline, including the launch of our new website and are confident that investment in the right things now will stand us in very good stead.”
Senior partner Christopher Nott said
“We’re an ambitious, energetic team focussed on delivering tailored support – both legal and practical - to our clients. Amanda helps us communicate this. She has a great understanding of our business, sector and market and is a very welcome addition.”
